Noel Dunne

Chief Executive Officer, Nua Healthcare Services

A dedicated, driven and compassionate leader focused on improving the lives of all those whom he meets, Noel is synonymous with innovative approaches to problem-solving. He builds teams who share a core passion for care and who work consistently towards common goals.

Noel joined Nua Healthcare Services 16 years ago as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the development and implementation of Nua’s first Business Process Improvement Plan, which laid the foundations for what Nua has become today: the largest private provider of specialist intellectual disability and mental health services in Ireland, operating across more than 130 locations nationally, with a team of over 3,500 employees.

In 2020, Noel took up the mantle of Chief Executive Officer and has since been leading the continued evolution of Nua’s services towards greater alignment with national policy and international best practices in person-centred, rights-based community healthcare. Noel believes strongly in societal responsibility and protecting the rights and opportunities of others.

Noel’s unique background includes qualifications in clinical and analytical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy, alongside experience working within some of Dublin’s most marginalised communities as a volunteer and educator. Noel also has extensive senior management and operational leadership experience, having previously held roles within both the logistics and aviation industries, where he specialised in the application of lean manufacturing principles through quality systems such as People, Systems, Processes and Global Service Excellence, which focused on change management, achieving sustainable productivity and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Now that Noel’s children are all adults pursuing their own dreams, when not at work, he enjoys playing golf, taking long walks with his wife, Fran, and thinking about better futures.
