Brian Lee was appointed Chief Executive and Registrar of the Health Insurance Authority in June 2024. Prior to this, he served as Head of Operations for the HSE’s Test and Trace Programme and, from 2014 to 2020, as Director of Quality Assurance and Regulation at Tusla – the Child and Family Agency. His earlier roles include National Clinical Care Programme Manager and Project Manager in the HSE, Project Manager with HIQA, Director of Operations at Health Care Informed, and other private sector roles. Brian has chaired the Board of Gheel Autism Services and served on the CORU Council. He holds an MBA from TU Dublin and qualifications from UCD in biochemistry, healthcare risk management, professional regulation, and organisational transformation.
